PopUp Bagels: The "Grip, Rip and Dip" Bagel Chain Lands in Delray

PopUp Bagels opened its Delray Beach shop on NE 2nd Avenue on December 13, 2025, bringing the brand's cult-favorite bagel format to downtown after growing from what started as a backyard pickup for friends into a chain now spanning seven states.

Built for the "Grip, Rip and Dip"

The bagels come in a short, focused lineup: salt and plain as the go-to favorites, plus poppy, sesame, and an everything version generously coated in seeds. Rather than slicing and spreading, the brand's signature method has diners ripping the bagel apart and dipping it into a tub of schmear, with a weekly rotating specialty flavor joining the standard plain and scallion cream cheese and salted butter, past versions have included maple cinnamon, truffle, garlic rosemary, and caramelized onion.

A Brand with Bagelfest Bragging Rights

PopUp Bagels won Best Bagel at the Brooklyn Bagelfest two years running before expanding out of its Westport, Connecticut roots, and the Delray Beach location keeps things simple as a takeout-only counter. Walk-ins are welcome, though online preordering is recommended given how quickly the daily bagel batches tend to move.
