SKYFIN Asian Bistro: Elevated Beijing Cuisine Meets a Full Sushi Bar
SKYFIN Asian Bistro sits in a Glades Road shopping plaza in Boca Raton, opened by Chef Aden Lee, a Hong Kong native who previously worked as a sous chef at MR CHOW in South Beach. Lee built SKYFIN around the idea of bringing that elevated Beijing-style cooking inland, pairing it with a full sushi and sashimi program under one roof, but in a relaxed setting deliberately removed from the pretension of his former Miami Beach kitchen.
Elevated Beijing Cuisine and a Full Sushi Bar
The kitchen's Beijing-inspired side turns out dishes like tangerine peel beef alongside fried rice and noodle dishes, while the sushi bar rounds things out with rolls such as the Yellowtail Jalapeño, the Spicy Three Way roll, and the Toro Roll. Small plates like gyoza, shumai, and calamari fill in the middle of the menu, and the kitchen finishes with less expected desserts, including a tempura cheesecake.
A Modern Room With a Sushi Counter and Patio
The interior mixes a fluorescent mural with cozy booths and an expansive sushi counter for a modern look, while an outdoor patio "adorned with colorful begonias" gives diners a more relaxed, garden-adjacent option. That combination of upscale technique and unpretentious setting has become the restaurant's calling card among Glades Road's cluster of Asian restaurants.
