South Florida Food Events This Weekend: October 23–25, 2026
Seafood on the sand, a museum tasting night and an afternoon devoted to coffee and chocolate: October 23–25 brings plenty of reasons to plan a food-focused outing. This weekend’s picks take us south to Broward and Miami-Dade, with the South Beach Seafood Festival leading the lineup.
All times are Eastern. Admission details vary by event and ticket tier.
The headline pick: South Beach Seafood Festival
Friday, October 23, from 7 p.m.; Saturday, October 24, 1–5 p.m.
Lummus Park, 1130 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach
The 14th Annual South Beach Seafood Festival closes its four-day run with two very different ways to spend the weekend. Friday’s Tequila Herradura VIP Chef Showdown puts 20 chefs into 10 head-to-head seafood battles. Saturday’s Seafood Slam is the main beachfront tasting day, with unlimited bites from more than 40 South Florida restaurants.
Choose Friday if the chef competition is the draw, or Saturday for an afternoon of tasting along the beach. These are separate ticketed experiences. See the festival listing and ticket information.
Friday in Fort Lauderdale: wine, spirits and a culinary celebration
Friday, October 23, 5–11 p.m., with entry based on ticket tier
Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale
The 30th Annual Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration brings a full evening of tasting to MODS. The schedule begins with a 5–6 p.m. Honoree Pearl Reserve Cocktail Hour, followed by VIP early entrance from 6–7 p.m. General admission for the Grand Tasting and Beer Garden runs 7–10 p.m.
A food truck experience on Second Street runs 8–11 p.m., and the after-party closes the night from 10–11 p.m. Check your ticket’s access before choosing an arrival time. Proceeds support the museum’s STEMobile outreach programs.
Sunday in Miami: coffee and chocolate
Sunday, October 25, 3–7 p.m.
2417 N. Miami Avenue, Miami
For a sweeter Sunday plan, Brews & Bites: The Ultimate Coffee & Chocolate Expo brings coffee roasters, chocolatiers and dessert makers together for tastings and live demonstrations. General admission is listed at $15, with a separate VIP option adding pairings and other extras.
A restaurant option all weekend: Dine Out Hollywood
Dine Out Hollywood Florida continues through October 31, with special multi-course prix-fixe menus at participating restaurants across Hollywood. It’s an option for anyone who would rather settle into a restaurant meal than build the day around a festival. Check the participating restaurants and menus before booking.
Food truck stops for Friday and Saturday

- Food Trucks at Tropical Park, Miami: Friday, October 23, 5–10 p.m.
- Food Truck Fridays at Tamarac Village, Tamarac: Friday, October 23, 5–9 p.m., at the Tamarac Village Amphitheater, 9090 NW 57th Street.
